Hey all! Sorry for the absence, but so excited to say that this summer has been busy with great days already! The only compaint I have is the heat. We are very excited about Alabama Fashion Week on July 15-16. We have been working with numerous clients and always streaming in new ideas that you will see and love.
So what's in for this summer? Who doesn't love to roll out of bed in the morning and only change one outfit for the day? You're in luck! Trends for the summer include: PAJAMA DRESSING, extreme colors, brights, lace, prints, prints, prints and of course, a great pair of pumps!

We met on Friday, discussed the boutique list, fitted some of the samples and discussed the hang tag. Everyone agreed to put my silhouette on the hang tag I thought that would make the collection more personal. We had fun taking my photos. I am a bit tired and will check in towards the end of the day.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am happy to report that the Belasse Women's Wear Summer Collection Launch was a great great success! Everyone loved the collection, the diversity, the fabrics, the colors, the classy, sophisticated and flirtyness of the collection. It was standing room only. Lots of important people attended; The Honorable Council General of Barbados Dr. Edward Lane and his wife, Honorable Judge Glenda Hatchett was the host for the evening. Lots of Media, Stylist, Bloggers, Boutique Owners.

Thanks to Carl Nelson he was behind the scene man, through out the whole production planning. Celebrity Hair Stylist Dwight Eubanks of the Purple Door Salon, for hair and Make-up, celebrity Fashion Stylist Erica Benoit and Courtney Hammonds for styling the collection, Anna Maria for her fine Jewelry, Jasem, Stanson and Jeannett, Lauren my fit model, and all my other production team. Thanks to all, I could not of done this without you guys.

OH!!! I actually picked up the mic and spoke to my guests! I was so proud of myself and everyone was too! Confidence comes from having a good support team.

The website will be Launched April 29th. so get ready to Shop and Live, Love, Relax in Belasse.

We had the BELASSE photo shoot yesterday! What a wonderful time we had. It was supposed to be a 3 hour shoot, it went way way beyond that, my photographer is absolutely wonderful. Thanks James Young at http://www.myyoungphoto.com/ for doing such an excellent job, with so much patience and charm, thanks for being part of THE BELASSE TEAM.

I would love to show some pics, but I can't. It is just too close to the launch date. In the group picture we have, James Young the Photographer, Stanson , Jeanette, Alexandria, Ayasia, Anna Maria, Lauren, Alexandra, Janice, Aneesah and me, Belasse. The amazing thing is, at the end of our 8hrs photo shoot, everyone was still smiling as you can see. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful and beautiful energy. Love you all.

Thanks to Anna Maria, I now have a great selection on fine Jewelry. Everything is looking good. I received the Second sample of my shoes from the new manufacturer on Thursday. It looks good, just minor changes.
Our photo shoot is scheduled for Sunday April 3rd. Can't wait! James L. Young is our official Photographer for our Collection and the Fashion Launch. Thanks James, love your work.

Well, Anna and Pete hung out with me tonight for a few hours at the studio, she brought me some more jewelry. She is just so creative! We started sending the invitations out Friday and responses are great. Lots more to do, everything is looking good!

Jeanette and Stanson - TEAM BELASSE came in today and helped. Jeanette confirmed 40 stores, great job Jeanette! Stanson tried to sew a mock-up for http://www.asapsewingservice.com/ great effort Stan! You need lots, lots more training. LOL!

We are only serving WINE at the Fashion Launch, you know just trying to keep it upscale, LOL LOL again. Everyone is so excited about the Collection. Thanks guys, greatly appreciated.

We created our check list today and I thank God for surrounding me with great people that have love, passion and drive. My big sister, Everlyn Coleman, who is an outstanding writer. She is an author of over 20 books and she has helped me so much; thanks sis. Jeanette, my Assistant, Stanson, my Stylist, Jasem, who is my right hand man, and master tailor; I really can't stop thanking my dear friend Carl, for what he has done. He keeps shocking the life out of me! The lists gets longer...

Oh did I tell you guys that I found a new shoe manufacturer?? Yes I did. New sample coming next week and I can't wait to see.. Sorry for all this writing, I will add some pics next time.

Today I confirmed that Karyn Greer and Evelyn Mims of WXIA-TV 11 Alive is going to host my fashion launch! How exciting!! I am preparing for my photo shoot this Saturday, March 19th. Exciting!! Hang tags and back drop are shipping next week.

My dear friend Carl Nelson is going above and beyond to make this a great event. Carl I love and appreciate everything, so- THANKS! Just a few more pieces to finish. I can't wait for you guys to see the collection. Remember LIVE, LOVE, RELAX IN BELASSE. That's my tag line. Do you like?

Well everything is going well. All patterns are completed and all fabrics are in-house. Photo shoot is scheduled for March 19th. That means everything should be completed. Our Photographer is Paul Hu and I'm excited that he is part of the BELASSE TEAM. It's been a while, well we are almost finish with the collection, about 6 more pieces to go. I am really happy with the collection! I let some of my friends have a preview and everyone loved it. Oh did I say that the venue was confirmed about one week ago? I am very excited about that.
Some Media, Stylist, and Photographers are confirmed. OMG!!!!! The shoes were done and some pictures were sent before they were shipped. Very disappointed the colors that I choose were not the colors used, so unfortunately I will have to put that on hold and concentrate on the actual collection.

Received my business cards today, LOVELY!!!!! Hang Tags next week.

Today was a great day at the studio! We completed 2 new designs. They look great. Team member Jeanette called with some exciting news with our boutique contact. Hi fans! Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I'm just busy getting things together. You know you can't have a launch without the product! Everything is looking good and we've got 18 pieces completed. I am so excited. I am thinking to show about 25pcs at the launch just to make a great presentation. I am a bit nervous because I haven't confirmed the location yet, but I do have a few venues to choose from. I promise I will have that confirmed by Friday!

Started calling some boutiques, great and exciting response from them. All I can say, is that GOD is great. I promise as soon as I receive the first samples of the shoes, I will let you guys see them. Oh I will show a copy of the hang tag next post, my graphic artist is working on them. So I am here going through about 300 pics from our photo shoot Sunday. Great job Corey! I mean a really great job! Here are some pics of me and some of the Team Members. Finalized my shoe samples today! Colors are yellow, fushia, white, black and turquoise. They are awesomely beautiful. Can't waite to see them. We finished one of the classic sexy pcs in muslin. Trying to keep my deadline for the end of February. Those girls are 5" high.

Good Morning all, first, I can't find my bling bling watch, I feel naked with out it! Just in case you want to know, it is expensive and lets pray that I find it. Well we don't want to go off track here, back to BELASSE.
We had a beautiful pc completed yesterday, so sexy, so flirty, so elegant! Yes, we have a store list of about 150. Great start I would say! Have my team working on the list of stylists. Need to get a PR on board to work on this project. Prompto.

Just spoke to Dwight Eubanks from the Real Housewives of Atlanta and we are to finalize location tomorrow! City Hall is looking like the place. How Official!!! If anyone here in the ATL have any suggestions please let me know. Our goal is to have everything in place by the end of January.

Off to work now, got some new clients for http://www.asapsewingservice.com/ . As I said before, there are lots of talented designers here in the ATL, and I am so blessed to be a part of their dreams.

I think I need to do a mini photo shoot. For marketing, guys I am so excited about this collection.

Another great and productive day at the Belasse Collection Design Studio

I finalized the shoe designs today with my shoe manufacturer. Should be receiving the first samples in four weeks and I can't wait :-). My Head Pattern-maker Jasem and I finalized and finish two patterns, and have both samples ready to sew for tomorrow. By the end of the week, we should have 15 samples completed. Things are really looking great! I can't wait to show you guys the shoes and clutches because they are awesome!! Awesome!! Oh I forgot, belts too! I need to find another soft floral print for the collection.
